Role Summary

As a Senior Python Backend Engineer, you'll help build tools that enable companies to make smarter, more responsible decisions across their supply chains. This is a permanent, remote-first position for candidates based in Berlin, Munich, Stuttgart, London, or Porto.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with customers to create functional requirements
- Work with UX designers to develop and implement requirements
- Build efficient, data-powered REST APIs in Python
- Develop end-to-end data pipelines and AI models for APIs
- Integrate APIs with front-end engineers
- Contribute to testing and bug fixes
Requirements
- 3–7 years of experience as a Python backend developer (ideally 2+ years in a B2B environment)
- Comfortable communicating with customers to understand requirements
- Experience with Python frameworks (e.g., Flask, Bottle), AWS, and REST
- Solid understanding of databases and SQL (preferably graph databases)
- Experience building data pipelines with complex data
- Experience with large, enterprise-grade applications
- Based in Germany or Europe
- Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
