Role Summary
- Full-time special consulting position at the Center for Computational Thinking and Design (CCTD), a collaboration between the School of Communication and Culture (CC) and the Department of Computer Science (CS) at Aarhus University
- Place of employment: Department of Computer Science, Aarhus University
- Project co-funded by CC and CS
- Daily work in the context of CCTD and The National Knowledge Center for Digital Technology Comprehension (https://tekforstaa.dk/)
- Objective: Contribute to a shared research-based knowledge foundation for national stakeholders in digital technology comprehension education for K-12
- Role involves research in computing education, development of educational tools and activities for computational thinking in K-12, and management/coordination of research and dissemination activities with external partners
Expected Start Date and Duration
- Full-time position from 01.02.2026 to 31.01.2028
Responsibilities
- Contribute to scientific research in Computing Education/Computational Thinking Research
- Collaborate with scientists in both CC and CS departments
- Manage and coordinate activities in an interdisciplinary research center
Requirements
- Preferably a PhD/Postdoc in Computing Education or Computer Science
- Experience with conducting computing education research at different educational levels
- Research experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Interaction design for computing education
- Design-based educational research
- Educational technology research for teaching computing
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in an interdisciplinary team
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate on research projects, both nationally and internationally
- Experience with coordinating research activities across multiple stakeholders and disciplines
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
