The Automation Engineer, Commissioning role at SANOVO TECHNOLOGY requires a strong technical background, preferably as a Maskinmester, Automationsteknolog, or equivalent. Candidates should have practical experience in electrical design and be proficient in PLC programming, especially with Beckhoff TwinCAT 2/3, TwinSAFE, TwinCAT HMI, PILZ, and ProFace GP-Pro software. Knowledge of communication protocols such as EtherCAT, TCP/IP, and UDP is essential for effective machine commissioning and integration. The role involves implementing software solutions on machinery post-assembly, commissioning machines before Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), and providing remote support during customer installations. Experience with ERP systems, particularly Navision and the upcoming transition to Microsoft Finance & Operations, is also required. The ideal candidate must demonstrate an analytical and structured approach to problem-solving, with the ability to understand complex technical solutions. Strong teamwork, a service-oriented mindset, and customer focus are critical for success. Additional desirable skills include experience working with robots and developing after-sales products and upgrade kits. The position entails approximately 20 to 40 travel days annually and participation in an on-call help desk rotation. Role Summary
- Find solutions and support both customers and colleagues
- Work with new technology in a newly established position in the Technical Department at SANOVO TECHNOLOGY
- Be part of a team focused on standardizing and optimizing machine assembly in Odense
Responsibilities
- Implement software (Beckhoff TwinCAT and ProFace) on machinery after mechanical assembly, including programming customer-specific solutions
- Commission machines before FAT testing and shipment
- Provide remote support to colleagues during customer installations
- Upgrade older machine models for the after sales market
- Develop products/kits for after sales
- Participate in a help desk on-call rotation (every 5th week until 22:00 for remote support)
- Expect approximately 20–40 travel days per year
Requirements
- Technical background such as Maskinmester, Automationsteknolog, or similar relevant education
- Preferably practical experience in electrical design
- Skills in:
- PLC programming (advantageous if familiar with Beckhoff TwinCAT 2/3, TwinSAFE, TwinCAT HMI, PILZ, ProFace GP-Pro)
- Communication protocols (e.g., EtherCAT, TCP/IP, UDP)
- ERP systems (currently Navision, transitioning to MS F&O in April 2026)
- Analytical and structured approach
- Ability to understand complex technical solutions
- Team player with a service mindset and customer focus
