Betonarbejder

The Betonarbejder position requires a vocationally trained individual with a practical background in trades such as welding, concrete work, masonry, mechanics, or other machine-technical fields. Candidates should possess good physical fitness and the ability to collaborate effectively across different professional groups. Key technical competencies include reading and interpreting construction drawings, experience with reinforcement tying (armeringsbinding), and formwork construction using boards and panels. Practical skills to assist other trades are essential. Language skills in Danish and/or Greenlandic are mandatory for safety reasons. The role demands readiness for travel to various locations in Greenland, including Nuuk, Uummannaq, and settlements on West Greenland, with a current work rotation of eight weeks on-site followed by two weeks off. The candidate should enjoy working in natural environments and exhibit a positive, helpful, flexible attitude with a high tolerance threshold. While prior experience in similar roles is advantageous, motivation and interest are prioritized. Responsibilities include casting foundations for pipe supports and pump sheds, installing fencing, and creating trenches for tank foundations. The position offers a structured yet informal work environment with significant autonomy and responsibility, supported by a team of competent colleagues and opportunities for social engagement across the company.
