The Accounting Manager role at CEBRA requires a minimum of five years of accounting experience, ideally within project-based companies or audit firms. The candidate must demonstrate expertise in managing month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and preparation of statutory financial statements. A strong understanding of Danish GAAP and VAT regulations is essential, alongside the ability to align accounting practices with Canadian ASPE standards. The role demands proficiency in financial reporting, including trial balance, work-in-progress, profit and loss, cash flow statements, and variance analysis. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills at a super-user level are required, complemented by experience with the e-conomic accounting software and ERP systems, with Dynamics GP knowledge considered an advantage. The candidate should have a higher education background in accounting or finance, with professional accounting designations seen as beneficial but not mandatory. Strong communication skills in English are necessary to clearly present financial information within an international and creative environment. Personal attributes sought include a structured, detail-oriented, and analytical approach, with a focus on process improvement, efficiency, and quality. The role involves responsibility for managing the general ledger, accounts payable, VAT reporting, and supporting audit processes. About the role
Role Summary
- Manage financial reporting for the Canadian group company Lemay
- Ensure accurate month-end close and statutory financial statements
- Influence accounting operations and reporting in an international context
- Opportunity to improve processes while maintaining compliance and accuracy
- Based at CEBRA's head office in Aarhus C, in a creative, open, and international environment
Responsibilities
- Monthly reporting to Lemay (trial balance, work-in-progress, P&L, cash flow)
- Prepare and maintain financial forecasts; perform monthly P&L variance analysis
- Implement accounting principles in compliance with Danish GAAP and align with Canadian ASPE
- Manage month-end closing process
- Handle monthly VAT reporting
- Oversee general ledger and accounts payable
- Prepare year-end closing schedules and support auditors
- Support process improvements and maintain documentation
Requirements
- At least 5 years of accounting experience (preferably in project-based companies); audit firm experience is a plus
- Experience with month-end/year-end closing, reconciliations, and accruals
- Solid knowledge of the Danish Financial Statements Act and VAT regulations
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (super-user level)
- Experience with e-conomic
- ERP experience (Dynamics GP is a plus)
- Strong communication skills; able to present financial material clearly in English
- Higher education in accounting or finance; professional designation is an asset, but hands-on experience is most important
