The role involves close collaboration with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into strategic, scalable data solutions, contributing to the bank's Core Payments Platform. Staying current with advancements in data engineering and big data technologies is expected to continually enhance methodologies and solutions. While experience with Databricks is a preferred asset, the primary focus is on the ability to create reusable templates and frameworks that can be adopted across multiple domains, highlighting the candidate’s capacity for innovation and leadership in data platform development. A bachelor’s degree supports the technical foundation necessary for this position, which emphasizes practical skills and hands-on experience in a high-priority financial services environment.
About the role
- Join the data engineering team in the Core Payments Platform data cluster
- Supply the bank with payments data and insights through strategic solutions
- Be part of the first team implementing domain data on the new Databricks analytics platform
- Help create templates for other domains to follow in a high-priority area for Danske Bank
Responsibilities
- Design and implement data processing workflows and ETL pipelines in Databricks

- Stay updated with advancements in data engineering and big data technologies to improve methodologies
Requirements
- Strong programming skills in Python
- Proficient in writing complex queries and optimizing performance
- Experience with data processing using compute engines, preferably Spark
- Experience with version control (git), Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Pulumi, Databricks Asset Bundles), and CI/CD
- Strong understanding of data architecture
