Director of Engineering

Role Summary

• Lead the technical strategy and execution of KIME as Director of Engineering (Founding Engineer)
• Architect and build an AI-powered marketing analytics platform from the ground up
• Shape the long-term technical direction of the company
• Partner closely with the CEO, other leaders, and the advisory board to define product, culture, and growth trajectory

Responsibilities

• Define and own the technical vision, strategy, and roadmap for KIME
• Architect, build, and scale the core platform, ensuring performance, security, and reliability
• Hire, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering team as the company grows
• Collaborate with product, design, and business teams to translate ideas into features and solutions
• Oversee infrastructure, development processes, and technical operations
• Ensure the platform leverages cutting-edge AI/ML technologies effectively
• Establish best practices in code quality, testing, and deployment
• Represent technology in discussions with investors, partners, and key stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with significant leadership experience
• Proven ability to architect and scale SaaS or data-driven products
• Strong expertise in full-stack development and cloud infrastructure
• Experience with AI/ML systems and integrating them into real-world products
• Demonstrated success in hiring and leading technical teams
• Entrepreneurial mindset; ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
• Excellent communication skills; comfortable engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
