Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of bookkeeping for 8+ companies (Denmark, UK, EU, US)
- Manage entries and monthly closings in Xero, QuickBooks, and E-conomic
- Prepare and schedule payment runs, coordinating with internal approvers
- Deliver books on time
- Provide light financial analysis of P&L and balance sheets
- Support VAT and tax compliance (must know Danish legislation; willingness to learn international rules)
- Work directly with the Finance Lead
- Occasionally liaise with auditors or local accountants (with guidance)
Requirements
- 2-5 years of hands-on bookkeeping or auditing experience
- Experience with Danish tax, VAT, and financial reporting
- Proficiency in at least one tool: Xero, QuickBooks, E-conomic
- Comfortable juggling multiple entities and deadlines
- Strong attention to detail; enjoy reconciling accounts
- Able to work independently and know when to ask questions
- Fluent in English; Danish is a plus, but not required
- Enjoy owning your work and bringing structure to a busy environment
