Key skills

The Global Payroll & Compliance Analyst role requires mid-level experience in international payroll and compliance, ideally with a bachelor’s degree background. Key competencies include comprehensive knowledge of payroll reporting and compliance across multiple European countries, specifically Denmark, Finland, Italy, France, Germany, and the UK. A strong understanding of Danish payroll principles and reporting requirements, including e-Income (e-Indkomst), A-tax, labor market contributions, and pension schemes, is essential. The role demands expertise in handling gross-to-net payroll data, with the ability to identify errors and patterns to ensure accuracy. Experience managing shadow payrolls for seconded employees and ensuring cross-border compliance related to social security, tax, and local regulations is critical. The candidate should be adept at collaborating closely with internal teams such as Finance and People, as well as external payroll providers and local advisors, demonstrating strong stakeholder management skills. The position suits professionals comfortable working in a fast-paced scale-up environment where payroll processes are evolving, requiring a structured, detail-oriented approach and the ability to develop and improve checklists, documentation, and compliance processes. Fluency in both Danish and English, written and spoken, is mandatory. Supporting audits, internal controls, and payroll-related compliance initiatives also form an important part of the responsibilities. Overall, the role combines technical payroll expertise, cross-border compliance knowledge, and strong communication and organizational skills within an international and dynamic fintech setting.
