This part-time position as a handicaphjælper involves providing dedicated support to a 9-year-old boy with autism and ADHD. The role requires creating a calm, safe, and structured environment with predictable routines to support the child's well-being. Key responsibilities include initiating and engaging in activities at home, particularly play and gaming such as Minecraft, participating in outings, and maintaining an active, involved presence with the child. The ideal candidate is a male aged 20 to 35 years, possessing a calm demeanor and the flexibility to adapt to the child's needs. Energetic engagement in play and social interaction is essential, along with a genuine interest in gaming and child development. Reliability, punctuality, and a structured approach to work are important. Experience with or a strong interest in working with children with special needs is preferred. Working hours are Monday to Thursday from 14:00 to 17:00, with some flexibility, and a fixed Sunday shift from approximately 10:00 to 18:00, with the possibility to cover most or all shifts. The role demands patience, empathy, and the ability to manage occasional mild challenging behaviors calmly and effectively. Overall, this position requires practical skills in supporting children with neurodevelopmental disorders, strong interpersonal and communication abilities, and a proactive, engaging approach to caregiving and activity facilitation.
