This role requires a compassionate and patient handicaphjælper to provide in-home respite care for an 8-year-old boy with complex disabilities including hydrocephalus with a shunt, non-verbal communication, visual impairment, and wheelchair dependence. Key competencies include hands-on caregiving skills such as diaper changing, assistance with blended food intake, and eventual medication administration three times daily. The caregiver must be adept at creating a safe, nurturing environment that prioritizes the child's comfort, emotional security, and sensory needs, especially auditory engagement due to impaired vision. Experience working with children with special needs and a background in pedagogy, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, or other health-related fields is preferred. The role demands strong relational skills, the ability to foster trust and joy through presence and tailored activities like massage, story reading, swinging, and gentle physical stimulation. Flexibility in working hours across alternating weeks with specific afternoon and evening shifts is required. The ideal candidate demonstrates a calm, empathetic demeanor and a genuine commitment to supporting the child's well-being and development within the family home setting.

- Har hydrocefalus (væske i hovedet) og indopereret shunt
- Intet verbalt sprog, kommunikerer via lyde
- Svagtseende og kørestolsbruger
- Bruger ble og får blendet mad
- Går i specialskole
- Meget glad og taknemmelig, sætter pris på nærvær og tryghed
- Bruger især høresansen pga. nedsat syn – tilstedeværelse via stemmen er vigtig
Elsker:
- At putte, blive nusset og få massage
- At mærke berøring og kropslig stimulation
- At få læst historier
- Gyngeture på værelsets gynge
- At blive rullet på en yogabold med lidt tempo
Om jobbet
- Aflastningsordning i hjemmet
- Vigtigste opgave: være nærværende og finde på aktiviteter på barnets præmisser
- Opgaver:
- Bleskift
- Hjælp til indtagelse af mad
- På sigt: medicingivning (3 gange dagligt)
Arbejdstider
Ulige uger:
- Mandag + torsdag kl. 11.00–20.00
- Torsdage kan evt. flyttes til lørdag efter aftale
Lige uger:
