The candidate must demonstrate expertise in continuous improvement initiatives, scaling best practices, and governance frameworks to ensure operational effectiveness, financial performance, compliance, and safety. Strong business acumen, decision-making capabilities, and resilience are essential, as is the ability to operate effectively at both strategic and operational levels in a complex, fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills across organizational levels and international experience are preferred. Fluency in Danish and English is mandatory. The role also demands fostering cross-functional collaboration with supporting functions such as Finance and Procurement, coaching teams using enterprise operating models, and developing supplier networks to maintain competitive advantage. About the role
Role Summary
- Lead a branch of approximately 70 skilled professionals in Denmark’s industrial refrigeration and heating sector
- 10–12 direct reports; functions include Project Management, Systems Installation, Project Engineering, and Contract Accounting
- Report to the General Manager of Johnson Controls UKI Nordics
- Responsible for on-time, on-budget, high-quality project delivery
- Foster cross-functional collaboration with supporting functions (Finance, Procurement, etc.)
- Ideally based at the Hornslet facility in Denmark
Responsibilities
- Build and lead a team to exceed customer expectations with a collaborative approach
- Govern development of project delivery plans for large-scale Industrial Refrigeration and HVAC installations
- Directly manage and coach 10–12 direct reports; empower a branch of ~70 colleagues
- Develop workforce and supplier network capabilities to stay ahead of competitors
- Systematically coach the organization using the enterprise operating model
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives and scale best practices
- Provide governance leadership for operational effectiveness, financial performance, compliance, and safety

Professional
- University degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
- Minimum 6 years of relevant operations management experience, ideally in industrial refrigeration or HVAC
- Proven experience in developing and executing strategic and financial project delivery plans
- Strong experience in workforce planning, retention, and development (subcontractors and in-house)
- Demonstrable experience with continuous improvement and best practices in manufacturing or systems environments
- Solid understanding of governance frameworks and compliance
- Strong knowledge of industrial refrigeration systems and heat pumps
- Fluency in Danish and English
