The Health Sensing ML Engineer role requires a mid-level professional with a master's degree or higher in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Candidates must have at least three years of experience developing advanced signal processing, computer vision, and machine learning algorithms specifically for time-series biosignals, ideally sourced from noisy sensors such as cameras or wearable devices. Strong proficiency in Python and PyTorch is essential, along with familiarity with scientific processing libraries; experience with TensorRT is considered a plus. The role demands expertise in extracting physiological information under challenging conditions characterized by low signal-to-noise ratios and artifacts, combining classical signal processing techniques with modern deep learning approaches tailored for multi-modal and temporal data. A deep understanding of human physiology, particularly within cardiovascular, respiratory, and sleep domains, is critical to effectively translate physiological principles into robust algorithmic solutions. Responsibilities include designing and validating algorithms through clinical data collection studies, optimizing models for edge deployment with constraints on computational efficiency, power, and memory, and collaborating closely with commercial and engineering teams to integrate algorithms into production-ready features. The position offers the opportunity to innovate by identifying new physiological biomarkers and pushing the boundaries of sensing technology, contributing to impactful AI-driven healthcare solutions. This role is based in Copenhagen and emphasizes ownership, entrepreneurship, and rapid iteration within a collaborative, learning-focused environment aimed at transforming healthcare delivery.
