This role requires a mature and reliable companion to assist an 87-year-old man with visual impairment in Holstebro. The primary responsibilities include providing support during outings approximately every two weeks, typically on Friday afternoons, but with flexibility regarding days and times. The companion will help the individual attend various activities such as Show Down events, social gatherings, and dental appointments. Key competencies include the ability to assist with navigation by describing and visualizing surroundings, reading signs, and helping with price tags due to the client's visual challenges. Physical support during walks is also necessary. The position demands strong interpersonal skills to coordinate schedules with the client and his spouse and to be attentive to the client's needs. A valid driver's license (category B) is required, as there may be an opportunity to use the client's vehicle. The commitment is approximately seven hours per month, with scheduling arranged collaboratively.
