Language proficiency in English and Danish is mandatory, with Greenlandic language skills preferred. First aid certification (minimum 12 hours, current within two years) is required or must be obtained prior to starting. The candidate should demonstrate responsibility, solution-oriented thinking, friendliness, openness, and strong service orientation. Willingness to share accommodation and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, is necessary. Preference is given to applicants connected to Greenland, ideally trained as guides at Campus Kujalleq. The seasonal position runs from mid-January to end of April, with potential for extension and opportunities to work at other lodges during summer months. Responsibilities
- Guide guests on snowmobile trips, snowshoe walks, dog sledding, and igloo building
- Prepare meals and clean the lodge
- Host and care for overnight guests, ensuring a memorable experience
- Handle logistics: shopping, packing, transport, and setup for the lodge
- Work calmly and responsibly, even in challenging situations
- Flexible work hours, including evenings and weekends
Requirements
- Connection to Greenland (resident or special affiliation)
- Preferably trained as a guide at Campus Kujalleq
- Driver's license for motor vehicles and experience driving
- Experience with snowmobiles is a plus
- Proficient in at least English and Danish; Greenlandic is an advantage
- Friendly, open, and service-minded
- Willingness and courage to work in demanding conditions
