The Millwright position requires a certified professional, preferably with a Red Seal Certification or equivalent Millwright Trade Certificate, and 3 to 5 years of experience in industrial or mining settings, ideally within gold or mineral processing environments. The role demands expertise in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heavy mechanical equipment such as conveyors, crushers, ball and SAG mills, pumps, and agitators. Candidates must possess strong mechanical aptitude, including knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, as well as the ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Proficiency in using hand and power tools safely and effectively is essential. Experience with preventative and predictive maintenance practices, along with the capability to diagnose and repair mechanical failures involving bearings, shafts, seals, gearboxes, valves, and couplings, is critical. Familiarity with maintenance management software (CMMS) is an asset, as is welding and fabrication skills.
