Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is essential. A passion for travel, culture, and creative storytelling is important to align with the channel's focus. Role Summary
- Full-time, remote video editor for YouTube and social media content
- Focus on international travel and relocation industries
- Edit both long-form and short-form videos, plus online course content
Responsibilities
- Edit 3+ high-quality YouTube videos per week (8–30 minutes each), plus Reels and Shorts
- Craft engaging hooks, pacing, and retention moments to maximize watch time
- Incorporate b-roll, maps, stock footage, motion graphics, and captions as needed
- Maintain and evolve the channel's visual identity and style
- Add music and sound design to complement each video
- Collaborate with Kristin (on-camera host/creator) to execute storylines
- Organize and manage footage, project files, and assets in Google Drive
- Deliver on time and proactively communicate about timelines and feedback
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional editing experience
- Experience editing for YouTube channels (preferably in travel, lifestyle, or documentary niches)
- Understanding of YouTube storytelling (hooks, retention, pacing, emotional payoff)
- Fluent in Adobe Premiere Pro (After Effects is a plus) or Final Cut Pro
- Strong sense of music choice, color, rhythm, and tone
- Attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a remote, collaborative environment with multiple projects
- Organized, self-managed, and reliable with deadlines
- Passion for travel, culture, and creative storytelling
- Portfolio or links to YouTube videos you’ve edited (required)
- Ability to work full-time (40 hrs/week), Monday–Friday
- Fast and stable internet connection
- Experience with Frame.io, Google Drive, Dropbox, or similar tools
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
