Role Summary

- Located at the Department of Chemistry and Bioscience, Faculty of Engineering and Science
- Appointment from 15 January 2026 or soon thereafter
- Duration: 2 years
Responsibilities
- Work on membrane distillation using waste heat for hydrogen production
- Upscale membrane production to achieve appropriately sized membranes
- Develop improved membranes for pilot site
- Develop and install membranes and modules in a pilot plant
- Integrate hardware with proprietary software in the pilot plant
- Handle logistics related to the project
- Be mobile as required by project logistics
Requirements
- PhD-level academic qualifications (required for appointment as postdoc)
- Master’s degree in chemical engineering or closely related field
- Excellent oral and written English skills (Danish is a strong advantage)
- Experience with Python, MATLAB, or C programming
- Skills in hardware and firmware programming
- Knowledge and experience in membrane manufacturing, synthesis, and scaling up production
- Practical experience with membrane processes, especially desalination and membrane distillation
- Experience with project management
- Valid driver’s license
