Responsibilities
- Lead & Mentor: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing R&D team; foster collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Drive Product Development: Oversee all aspects of new product development; ensure alignment with market needs, customer requirements, and business objectives
- Execute Release Management: Plan and execute successful product releases; coordinate with cross-functional teams for smooth launches
- Improve Existing Products: Identify and implement improvements to existing products; address customer feedback and enhance performance; drive organizational goals and KPIs
- Contribute to Strategic Planning: Shape long-term R&D strategy; identify emerging technologies and market opportunities
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with global teams in engineering, manufacturing, quality, and sales
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field)
- Experience: 8+ years of R&D experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing an engineering team
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of modular system design, product development processes, and testing/certification procedures; experience with IEC, UL, and other relevant industry standards
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams; high emotional intelligence and ability to inspire accountability
Nice to Have
- International Experience: Experience collaborating with international teams and adapting to different time zones
- Budget/Financial Experience: Confident in forecasting and managing R&D budgets
- Language Skills: Fluency in both English and Danish
