The candidate must possess deep expertise in global satellite and RF regulations, including FCC Part 25, CE RED, ITU, and ETSI standards. Proficiency in managing product certifications for complex systems such as terminals, antennas, modems, and RF equipment is essential. The role demands strong familiarity with EMC/EMI testing protocols and environmental standards, notably MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, IEC60945, and RoHS compliance. The engineer will coordinate with external laboratories to ensure rigorous testing and certification processes are met. Excellent technical documentation skills are critical, including preparing declarations of conformity and regulatory filings, alongside effective project management capabilities to collaborate with engineering, legal, and program teams. Experience supporting audits and implementing corrective actions is also required. Additional desirable qualifications include knowledge of FCC, UL, and Ofcom licensing processes, ITU filings, and eligibility for security clearances. This lead-level position emphasizes a comprehensive understanding of regulatory frameworks, standards compliance, and cross-functional collaboration to embed compliance into product design, ensuring global market access for cutting-edge satellite communication solutions.

Role Summary
We’re looking for a Regulatory & Product Certification Engineer to lead global compliance and certification efforts for our satellite communication systems. You’ll ensure our products meet international regulatory standards, enabling seamless deployment across commercial, government, and defense markets.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with global satellite and RF regulations (e.g., FCC Part 25, CE RED, ITU, ETSI)
- Manage product certifications for terminals, antennas, modems, and RF systems
- Coordinate with external labs for EMC, RF, and environmental testing (e.g., MIL-STD-810, MILSTD-461, IEC60945, RoHS)
- Prepare technical documentation, declarations of conformity, and regulatory filings
- Collaborate with engineering, legal, and program teams to embed compliance into product design
- Support audits and implement corrective actions as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical, Telecommunications, or Aerospace Engineering
- 5+ years in regulatory compliance or product certification in satellite or telecom industries
- Strong knowledge of RF regulations, EMC/EMI testing
- Knowledge of MIL standards
- Excellent documentation and project management skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with FCC/UL/Ofcom licensing, ITU filings, or security clearance eligibility
