About the role
Role Summary
- Long-Term Energy Adviser position based in Jakarta with Indonesia’s State-Owned Power Company (PLN)
- Work closely with the Danish Energy Agency (DEA), the Royal Danish Embassy in Indonesia (RDE), and local Indonesian authorities
- Support Indonesia’s ambitious renewable energy targets: 17.1 GW solar and 7.2 GW wind by 2034
- Provide technical support and coordinate activities to advance power system operations and wind development
Responsibilities
- Stationed at PLN to support system operation and wind development activities
- Analyze and provide recommendations for power system operation and wind deployment
- Coordinate closely with engaged partners, including international and local stakeholders
- Manage projects and collaborate with experts from DEA, RDE, and consultants
Requirements
- Master’s degree or equivalent in energy/environmental management, economics, political science, engineering, or related fields
- Solid knowledge of the Danish energy system and Danish energy policy, including renewable energy integration (required)
- At least 5 years of experience in the Danish energy sector (required)
- Strong analytical skills to assess complex energy systems and develop recommendations
- Excellent communication skills; fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Experience in the Indonesian energy sector is an advantage, but not required
