Role Summary

  • Based at Translational Neuropsychiatry Unit, Department of Clinical Medicine, Aarhus University Hospital, Skejby

Responsibilities

  • Primarily research-based role; may include teaching activities
  • Contribute to high-quality international research
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues and receive supervision
  • Project focuses on the biological background of Functional Diseases, in collaboration with Department of Functional Disorders and Translational Neuropsychiatry Unit
  • Main tasks include optimizing, conducting, analyzing, and presenting results from:
    • ELISA-based assays
    • Lipidomic assays
    • Radioimmunoassays
    • HPLC
    • Shotgun metagenomics
  • Report to Associate Professors Lise Gormsen and Cecilie Bay-Richter

Requirements

  • Academic qualifications at M.Sc. level in molecular medicine, neurobiology, neuroscience, or related field
  • Recent hands-on experience with the listed techniques
  • Strong expertise in bioinformatic analysis of metagenomic data
  • Ability to take initiative, direct own work, and take ownership of research projects
