The Senior IAM Architect role requires over 10 years of experience specializing in Identity and Access Management with a strong focus on privileged access management and modernizing IAM platforms. The candidate must have a bachelor's degree in information technology, security, or a related field, complemented by recognized information security certifications such as CISM, CISSP, CCSP, or CGRC. Core competencies include architecting and designing Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) solutions for both on-premises and cloud environments, particularly within large organizations. The role demands expertise in developing security architectures, models, templates, and standards that ensure security and privacy by design. The architect will collaborate closely with Security, Resilience and Controls (SRC) and Cyber Design teams to establish security standards and strategic roadmaps aligned with enterprise architecture. Responsibilities also encompass vendor solution evaluation, RFI/RFP preparation, and supporting testing and validation of internal security controls. Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills are essential to effectively guide technical teams and influence cross-functional groups. Additional desirable skills include knowledge of secrets management, hardware security modules (HSMs), certificate and key management, Microsoft Entra ID, and AWS security frameworks. Staying current with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices in information security, IT risk, compliance, and data privacy is critical. Overall, the role demands a senior-level professional with deep technical expertise, strategic vision, and the ability to lead complex IAM transformations within large-scale enterprise environments.
About the role
Role Summary
- Focus on privileged access management and modernizing the Identity and Access Management (IAM) platform
- Provide expert advice on replacing current IAM with a modern IGA solution
- High-level architecture of IGA solutions, including security controls, operational resilience, capacity, scaling, management, and recovery
- Work within Security, Resilience and Controls (SRC) and Cyber Design teams to set security architecture and standards
Responsibilities
- Ensure security and privacy by design in solution assessments
- Develop and maintain security architectures, models, templates, standards, and procedures
- Create strategic plans and roadmaps based on enterprise architecture practices
- Support testing and validation of internal security controls
- Stay current with industry, regulatory, and legal requirements for policy and control
- Work with frameworks in information security, IT risk, compliance, and data privacy
- Lead vendor solution reviews and RFI/RFP preparation
Requirements
- Approx. 10+ years of experience as a Senior Identity and Access Management Architect
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, security, or similar field
- Experience providing security architecture support to large development organizations
- Experience developing complex IT solutions
- Information security credentials (e.g., CISM, CISSP, CCSP, CGRC)
- Experience with privileged access management solutions
- Experience designing infrastructure IGA solutions for on-premises and cloud environments, especially for large organizations
- Strong stakeholder management, diplomacy, communication, and presentation skills in English
- Ability to provide technical team leadership
Nice to Have
- Expertise in secrets management, HSMs, certificate and key management, EntraID, and AWS security
- Knowledge of industry technology trends
