About the role

Role Summary

  • Lead an 8-person engineering team for the OnPay platform at team.blue in Skanderborg
  • Hybrid/onsite role focused on leadership, delivery management, and team enablement
  • Join a newly formed team dedicated to expanding OnPay's presence across Europe
  • Report directly to the Software Director

Responsibilities

  • Lead and Mentor: Guide software engineers through the development lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the Product Owner and stakeholders to define requirements and align with business goals
  • The Agile Process: Co-lead the Agile process from task to deployment, including refinement, planning, and progress tracking
  • Resource Management: Allocate and utilize team resources effectively
  • Performance Management: Conduct reviews, provide feedback, and foster professional growth
  • Technical Direction: Support the Tech Lead and team, ensuring technical priorities are met
  • Quality Assurance: Work with the Tech Lead and QA Engineer to uphold coding standards and implement QA practices
  • PCI Compliance: Ensure PCI DSS Level 1 requirements are maintained and viewed as a strength

Requirements

  • Strong background in software development, management, and software delivery
  • Proven leadership experience in a similar role with ambition for growth
  • Deep understanding of team dynamics, software engineering, and Agile processes
  • Excellent decision-making, communication, and strategic thinking skills
  • Hands-on technical experience in Software Engineering and Operations
  • Systematic understanding of software design, architecture, and problem-solving
