About the role

Role Summary

  • Full-time, three-year fixed-term position at the Department of Mathematics, Aarhus University
  • Join the Applied Statistics Laboratory (aStatLab)
  • Start date: 1 March 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter
  • Contribute to applied statistical analyses and data management across collaborative research and advisory activities
  • Work closely with senior statisticians and researchers

Responsibilities

  • Conduct statistical analyses under supervision of academic staff (VIPs) at aStatLab
  • Prepare, clean, and manage datasets for analysis
  • Contribute to documentation, reporting, and reproducibility of analyses
  • Support research teams in applying statistical methods and software tools
  • Participate in internal discussions on statistical methodology and best practices
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of data management and analysis workflows

Requirements

  • Relevant academic degree (Master’s or PhD) in statistics, data science, mathematics, quantitative biology, or related field
  • Experience with applied statistical analysis and data handling
  • Understanding of data structures, experimental design, and reproducible workflows
  • Good communication skills in English
  • Collaborative approach; ability to work independently and in interdisciplinary teams
  • Experience with governmental, environmental, or agricultural data
