About the role
Role Summary
- Full-time, three-year fixed-term position at the Department of Mathematics, Aarhus University
- Join the Applied Statistics Laboratory (aStatLab)
- Start date: 1 March 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter
- Contribute to applied statistical analyses and data management across collaborative research and advisory activities
- Work closely with senior statisticians and researchers
Responsibilities
- Conduct statistical analyses under supervision of academic staff (VIPs) at aStatLab
- Prepare, clean, and manage datasets for analysis
- Contribute to documentation, reporting, and reproducibility of analyses
- Support research teams in applying statistical methods and software tools
- Participate in internal discussions on statistical methodology and best practices
- Contribute to continuous improvement of data management and analysis workflows
Requirements
- Relevant academic degree (Master’s or PhD) in statistics, data science, mathematics, quantitative biology, or related field
- Experience with applied statistical analysis and data handling
- Understanding of data structures, experimental design, and reproducible workflows
- Good communication skills in English
- Collaborative approach; ability to work independently and in interdisciplinary teams
- Experience with governmental, environmental, or agricultural data
