The role also involves handling supplier claims and deviations, supporting material supply issue resolution, and ensuring compliance with domestic and international regulatory requirements related to import, export, and quality standards. The position requires approximately 20-30 days per year of supplier visits and onsite evaluations, offering opportunities to build global relationships and gain operational insights within a collaborative and innovative environment.

Role Summary
- Join the Procurement team in Leica Geosystems’ Machine Control Division as a Strategic Purchaser
- Strengthen collaboration with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
- Ensure delivery of top-quality supplies and products by managing commercial relationships, negotiating contracts, and optimizing the supplier portfolio
- Support procurement initiatives and contribute to integration within the global network
Responsibilities
- Lead procurement initiatives focused on cost savings and life-cycle management
- Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships for effective risk management, availability, quality, and cost efficiency
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, delivery performance, and total cost of ownership (TCO)
- Manage supplier, product, and master data within SAP systems
- Collaborate with the Quality team to select, evaluate, and approve new suppliers
- Handle supplier claims and deviations with relevant stakeholders
- Support Planning and Procurement team in resolving material supply issues and identifying alternative sources
- Implement and adapt to evolving regulatory requirements to ensure compliance with domestic and international import, export, and quality standards
Requirements
- Professionally proficient in English, both written and spoken
- Open-minded and eager to learn and adopt new IT tools
- Skilled in Excel; experience with SAP or MRP systems is a strong advantage
- Analytical and structured, with high attention to detail, strong quality focus, and solid commercial awareness
- Outgoing and proactive, with a continuous improvement mindset and a passion for solving challenges
- Experienced in supplier management, contract negotiations, and end-to-end procurement processes
- Educational background relevant to procurement, ideally with experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably involving electronics or mechanical components
