About the role

  • Department of Economics, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Copenhagen (UCPH) is hiring 3-5 student research assistants for the Health Economics and Aging Lab (HEAL)
  • 1-year positions, 10-15 hours per week, with possible extension
  • Expected start: February 1st, 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter

About HEAL

  • Research team focused on theoretical and applied micro- and macroeconomics
  • Four main projects:
    • Incorporating Population Frailty in Macroeconomic Policy Models (with DREAM, funded by Novo Nordisk Foundation)
    • Determinants of Demand and Supply of Elder Care (NordForsk, Nordic network)
    • The Role of Preferences and Beliefs in Shaping Physician Careers (Independent Research Fund Denmark)
    • The Role of Networks in Shaping Health Inequality (Rockwool Foundation)
  • Tasks include data analysis, literature reviews, and practical support for events

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and conduct preliminary data analysis
  • Support literature reviews
  • Assist with practical tasks (e.g., organizing workshops, conferences, stakeholder meetings)
  • Contribute to the day-to-day running of research projects

Requirements

  • Enrolled as a student at university level
  • Studying economics, social data science, data-economics (datalogi-økonomi), or public health
  • Strong interest in quantitative data
