The caregiver must be able to push a manual wheelchair safely and provide accompaniment for various activities such as shopping, medical appointments, social outings, and transportation to and from work once weekly. Strong interpersonal skills and patience are essential due to the client’s verbal communication with some speech difficulties and the need for respectful, supportive interaction. A valid driver's license (category B) and the ability to operate a handicap-accessible vehicle are mandatory.
