About the role
Role Summary
Tocar Strategic Advisors is seeking a detail-oriented Analyst to support research and reporting across the functional ingredients, cannabis, and wellness product sectors. The role combines data analysis, market research, and strategic report writing. You will work directly with company directors to extract insights from global market data, synthesize research findings, and build polished client deliverables. This is a remote role for Europe-based candidates with strong analytical and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Analyse category and brand data across multiple markets (e.g. UK, EU, US, Canada)
- Conduct desk research on product launches, regulatory developments, and market trends
- Create quantitative and qualitative insights for client reports and strategy documents
- Collate, clean, and structure data from multiple sources (market databases, press releases, industry publications)
- Write concise, visually structured reports and PowerPoint decks summarizing market activity
- Support the buildout of an internal product and ingredient tracking database
- Work with external data providers to extract and format data for macro reports
Requirements
- 2–4 years’ experience in market research, analytics, or consulting (FMCG, functional ingredients, or wellness experience ideal)
- Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills; comfort with data manipulation and trend identification
- Excellent written English; ability to translate data into narrative insights
- Competence with PowerPoint or Google Slides for visual presentation of findings
