Role Summary
Join Valory, the team behind Olas, a platform enabling co-ownership of AI and powering large AI agent economies. As a Senior Python Engineer, you'll help build cutting-edge DeFi agents that autonomously manage on-chain assets, working in a startup environment focused on ownership, autonomy, and technical excellence.
Responsibilities
- Develop the BabyDegen family in line with the product roadmap
- Lead technical design of new components, ensuring strong cross-component interoperability
- Rapidly learn and contribute to Valory’s agents and agent frameworks
- Add, maintain, and improve code components and/or entire agents for efficiency and maintainability
- Write comprehensive tests and debug code to improve functionality
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver machine learning features
- Document work thoroughly, including experiments and results
- Provide feedback, conduct code reviews, and support team members
- Ensure customer satisfaction by implementing, coordinating, and communicating changes/fixes
- Stay up to date with crypto and AI trends
Requirements
- 4+ years experience in Python (or 2+ years Python plus 2+ years with a widely used compiled language)
- Strong understanding of Python libraries (Django, Flask), best practices, and testing (unit, integration, end-to-end)
- Experience working collaboratively in a team
- Willingness to acquire new programming skills and concepts
- Alignment with Valory’s values (mission over ego, clarity through writing, pushing the autonomous edge)
- Interest in web3 and AI, especially autonomous agents and DeFi
- Bonus: Open-source and/or Web3 contributions, experience with multi-agent systems
- Strong preference: Time zone between UTC -2 to UTC +6
