As Associate Medical Director, you will advance Novo Nordisk’s cardiometabolic strategies across Europe and Canada, operating at the scientific forefront and turning research into meaningful medical advances.
Responsibilities
- Implement the Region EUCAN cardiometabolic therapy area medical strategy, ensuring initiatives can scale in affiliates
- Engage cardiometabolic EUCAN medical teams and partner in cross-functional teams as a medical expert
- Drive EUCAN Cardiometabolic Medical Affairs priorities and represent Region EUCAN in therapy area-specific medical fora
- Foster strong relationships and build strategic partnerships with opinion leaders, subject matter experts, professional associations, and vendors/consultants
- Act as subject matter expert within the cardiometabolic therapy area; proactively collect, interpret, and share medical insights and new knowledge

Requirements
- MD educational background with 5+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience in cardiometabolic disease
- Proven track record in Medical Affairs, including pre-launch planning, scientific communication, and stakeholder engagement
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence without formal authority in a global matrix organisation
- Exceptional scientific communication, analytical thinking, and presentation skills; ability to distil complex data into clear narratives
- Proactive, business- and solutions-oriented mindset; deep commitment to improving outcomes for people with cardiometabolic diseases
