The role demands experience in scouting, evaluating, and adopting advanced AI/ML solutions to enhance regulatory intelligence and operational effectiveness. Candidates should have a proven track record of pioneering innovative ways of working and architecting sustainable process transformations within complex, multinational organizations. Strong skills in regulatory engagement strategies with global regulators and industry bodies, portfolio and project management with a global footprint, and influencing portfolio decisions and external stakeholder engagement worldwide are critical. Fluency in English is required, with additional language skills considered advantageous. The position involves significant cross-cultural collaboration and requires readiness for international travel to support regional and affiliate partnerships. The role reports to the Senior Vice President of Regulatory, Quality & Clinical Reporting and participates in leadership teams, emphasizing vision setting, strategic alignment, and fostering an inclusive, innovation-driven culture. Overall, the candidate must combine scientific expertise, strategic leadership, regulatory acumen, and advanced technology adoption to drive the future-ready SP&I organization within Novo Nordisk.

- Lead Science, Policy & Intelligence (SP&I) within Regulatory, Quality & Clinical Reporting (RQ&C)
- Transform regulatory intelligence into influence and competitive advantage
- Set vision for a future-ready SP&I organization
- Report to SVP of RQ&C and serve on the RQ&C Leadership Team
- Lead senior experts across policy, intelligence, advocacy, and business development
- Build processes, tools, and partnerships to anticipate global trends and deliver actionable insights
- Inspire cross-organisational teams and communicate with influence
Responsibilities
- Set vision and strategy for SP&I in RQ&C, aligning intelligence, policy, and science to business priorities
- Build and lead a high-performing, senior specialist organization
- Embed regulatory science and therapeutic-area insights into decision-making
- Scout, evaluate, and adopt best-in-class external AI/ML solutions
- Shape Novo Nordisk’s regulatory engagement strategy with global regulators and industry bodies
- Ensure future-ready operating models and compliance
- Convene panels of senior internal and external experts for strategic guidance
Requirements
- Advanced scientific degree (PhD or PharmD preferred)
- 15+ years in global regulatory affairs and drug development
- Strong leadership skills and experience pioneering novel ways of working
- 15+ years in pharmaceutical regulatory, R&D, business development, competitive intelligence, and policy development
- Experience in regulatory decision making, science, innovation, and portfolio/project management with a global footprint
- Ability to influence portfolio decisions and external engagement worldwide
- Experience architecting sustainable process transformations in complex organizations
- Fluency in English; additional languages a plus
- Strong track record of cross-cultural collaboration in an international environment
Location & Travel
- Based in Søborg, Denmark
- Travel outside Denmark required for collaboration with regions, affiliates, and external stakeholders
