This role requires a compassionate and physically robust individual to provide personal assistance and companionship to a 14-year-old boy with cerebral palsy. Key competencies include practical skills in personal care, such as helping with daily hygiene and mobility support including safe transfers. The candidate must be capable of engaging in varied activities like games and outings, demonstrating patience, empathy, and the ability to build a trusting relationship with a young person. Physical stamina is essential due to the active nature of the job. Strong interpersonal skills are necessary to connect with the child and collaborate effectively with his family, particularly the mother who provides guidance and training. Flexibility in working hours, including the ability to work weekdays and weekends between 9:30 and 17:30, is important. While prior experience in the disability sector is advantageous, it is not mandatory as thorough training will be provided. A non-smoking, stable, and positive attitude is required to foster a supportive and encouraging environment.
