The role also involves preparing financial inputs for management and board reporting, leading annual audits, and monitoring KPIs to support strategic decision-making. Experience with implementing business intelligence software and optimizing ERP and reporting systems is essential to enhance internal processes and reporting tools. Fluency in Danish and English, both written and spoken, is required for effective communication. Role Summary
As Finance Director, you will play a central role in the finance team, ensuring a professional, efficient, and scalable finance function that supports Embankment Group’s strategic objectives. You will oversee day-to-day finance operations and act as a close sparring partner to the CFO.
Responsibilities
- Oversee accounting, controlling, budgeting, and budget follow-up
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and execution of payments
- Manage ongoing invoicing and accounts receivable follow-up
- Handle liquidity management, including rolling 6–12 month cash flow forecasts
- Ensure correct reporting and timely payment of taxes and VAT across markets
- Monitor key KPIs for the group
- Prepare financial input for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting to management and the Board
- Lead the annual audit of group entities
- Optimize and further develop internal processes, systems, and reporting tools
- Prepare analyses and recommendations to improve financial performance
Requirements
- Relevant higher education (e.g. cand.merc.aud., cand.merc.fir., HD(R), or equivalent)
- 5–8 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a growth company or audit firm
- Strong skills in accounting, controlling, liquidity management, and financial reporting
- Experience with IFRS or the Danish Financial Statements Act; knowledge of company law
- Experience managing business activities across borders in the Nordics or EU
- Experience implementing business intelligence software and optimizing ERP/reporting systems
- Solid understanding of business economics and ability to translate numbers into strategy
- Fluent in Danish and English, both written and spoken
