A solid understanding and adherence to food safety standards, including cold chain management and HACCP guidelines, are critical for compliance and quality assurance. The role demands safe operation of warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, with mandatory forklift certification. Candidates should demonstrate attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with preference for previous experience in warehouse operations or food-related industries. English language proficiency and residence in Denmark or Sweden are mandatory, along with the ability to pass a security check.
About the role
The Warehouse Receiver ensures smooth inventory control, warehouse management, and shipping/receiving at the Newrest CPH catering facility. This role involves teamwork and coordination of daily inventory activities.
Responsibilities
- Accurately receive incoming shipments of food, beverage, and equipment
- Inspect items for freshness, quality, quantity, and compliance with specifications
- Ensure accurate documentation and record keeping (Purchase Orders, Receipt Notes, Proof of Delivery, etc.)
- Use warehouse management system (Winrest) for real-time inventory visibility
- Maintain First In, First Out process during put-away
- Organize and maintain inventory storage areas (Freezer, Cooler, Dry)
- Monitor stock levels and replenish supplies as needed
- Collaborate with team members to optimize inventory flow
- Adhere to food safety standards, including cold chain management
- Implement HACCP guidelines for tracking food production
- Report discrepancies or issues promptly (e.g., temperature out of spec, damaged product)
- Work closely with purchasing, kitchen staff, suppliers, and other departments
- Communicate effectively regarding inventory status, shortages, and surplus
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment
- Perform other duties as assigned based on operational needs
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, or food-related industries preferred
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Forklift certification is mandatory
- English skills
- Must live in Denmark or Sweden
- Must pass a security check
