Strong collaboration skills are vital, working closely with solution architects and stakeholders across Digital & IT and the wider organization to ensure architectural alignment and provide insights for portfolio planning. The role requires excellent communication abilities to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. A pragmatic, analytical, and structured problem-solving approach is critical, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on guidance. Fluency in English is required, with Danish language skills considered advantageous. Role Summary
- Strengthen the Digital & IT organization at Semco Maritime as an Enterprise Architect
- Shape and govern enterprise architecture to ensure a future‑proof application landscape
- Support business strategy, scalability, and operational excellence
- Act as focal point for the enterprise architecture repository (LEAN IX)
- Collaborate with solution architects and key stakeholders across Digital & IT and the wider organization
- Contribute to a strong safety culture while delivering innovative solutions
- Location: Global HQ in Esbjerg (Danish energy industry hub, waterfront views)
Responsibilities
- Map, document, and maintain an overview of current and target application landscape
- Define and govern architecture principles, standards, and roadmaps aligned with business strategy
- Ensure scalable, cost-effective, and future-proof architecture across applications, integrations, and platforms
- Act as primary owner of the LEAN IX architecture repository
- Collaborate with solution architects to ensure architectural alignment
- Provide architectural insights for portfolio planning
- Facilitate architecture reviews
- Communicate complex topics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in enterprise or strategic architecture roles within large or complex organisations
- Strong knowledge of methodologies such as TOGAF or SABSA
- Ability to pragmatically apply architecture frameworks to drive business outcomes and decision-making
- Expertise in application architecture, integration patterns, and enterprise IT landscapes
- Proficient with enterprise architecture tools (LEAN IX is a plus)
- Skilled at balancing strategic thinking with hands-on analysis and guidance
- Analytical, structured, and pragmatic problem-solver
- Excellent English communication skills (Danish is an advantage)
