The Hardware Engineer role requires a degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field with approximately four years of professional experience. The candidate must demonstrate strong expertise in electrical hardware design, particularly in schematic creation and PCB layout using Altium Designer. Proficiency in both digital and analog circuit design is essential, along with hands-on experience in prototyping, testing, debugging, and validating electronic systems. The position demands familiarity with regulatory compliance processes, including preparing designs to meet EMC, RED, LVD, and other certification standards. Experience collaborating with manufacturers to transition PCBs from prototype to mass production is critical. The role involves close interdisciplinary cooperation with firmware, software, and mechanical teams to ensure seamless hardware integration. Preferred additional skills include high-speed signal design, wireless and IoT system knowledge, and complex power management capabilities. The ideal candidate is self-driven, comfortable in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, and enjoys addressing complex hardware challenges from concept through to production. Emphasis is placed on designing for reliability, robustness, testability, and maintainability, with a proactive approach to identifying potential failure points. Effective communication skills for cross-functional teamwork during design and validation phases are important. Responsibilities
- Electrical hardware design for Teton’s ecosystem of devices
- Prepare designs for compliance with EMC, RED, LVD, and other standards
- Prototyping, testing, and validating electronics; automate testing with scripts
- Collaborate with manufacturers to bring PCBs from prototype to mass production
- Work with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware with firmware, software, and mechanics
Requirements
- Degree in Electronics Engineering or related field with 4 years of experience
- Strong schematic design and PCB layout skills in Altium Designer
- Experience designing electronics for certification and managing compliance
- Proficiency in digital and analog circuit design
- Experience testing and debugging hardware systems
- Hands-on, self-driven, and comfortable in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
