The role involves supervising teams of 5 to 15 members on offshore and onshore sites, ensuring safe and efficient execution of LV system projects within time and budget constraints. Key responsibilities include leading the LV scope of projects, troubleshooting technical issues onsite, coordinating between headquarters and construction sites, and managing communication with subcontractors, clients, and stakeholders. Strong project management skills and the ability to plan daily tasks effectively are essential. Fluency in English, both verbal and written, along with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, are critical for liaising across international teams and diverse cultural environments. A safety-first mindset and a passion for sustainable, green energy solutions underpin the role, reflecting the company's commitment to quality and the energy transition. The position demands extensive international travel (200-250 days per year) to locations such as Poland, Vietnam, the US, and Taiwan, requiring flexibility and adaptability. About the role
- Join Semco Maritime as a Low Voltage Site Engineer in the Renewables Division
- Be part of a leading Site Operations Team with a large offshore substation project portfolio
- Contribute to safety culture and innovative solutions in the global energy sector
- Supervise teams (5-15 members) in installation, testing, and commissioning of low voltage (LV) systems
- Act as the link between HQ LV engineering and onshore construction sites
- Develop project management skills in an international environment
- Full-time position based in Aalborg, Copenhagen, or Esbjerg HQ
- 5-day work week on a rotation, with fixed supplement for expected overtime
- Extensive travel required (200-250 days/year) to sites in Poland, Vietnam, US, and Taiwan
Responsibilities
- Lead the low voltage scope of projects
- Oversee time and budget management
- Liaise between stakeholders to ensure project success
- Work on onshore sites: LV installation, commissioning, and testing
- Supervise installation teams
- Support, troubleshoot, and solve technical issues onsite
- Plan day-to-day tasks
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Communicate with subcontractors, clients, and stakeholders
Requirements
- Technical educational background (e.g., Marine Engineer, Service Engineer, Technical Manager Offshore, Electrical/Electronic Engineer)
- Experience with LV systems (installation and commissioning)
- Hands-on experience as an electrician or similar
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in English (verbal and written)
- Safety-first mindset and passion for sustainable solutions
