Familiarity with frontend technologies like React and Material UI component libraries is beneficial to align design with development. The ideal candidate is open-minded, eager to learn, shares knowledge, and fosters a positive team environment. Role Summary
Embankment delivers tech-powered fund services to Europe’s alternative fund managers through a proprietary software platform. With 60+ employees across Copenhagen, Aarhus, Stockholm, Oslo, and Luxembourg, Embankment combines financial expertise with modern technology to simplify complexity for 250+ funds across Europe.
This is a full-time, permanent Product Designer role based in either Aarhus or Copenhagen. Base salary starts at EUR 80,000 plus pension and benefits.
Team
- 10+ people in tech/product across Copenhagen and Aarhus
- Daily collaboration via Slack, Notion, and Github
- Use of modern AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, v0) to speed up discovery, prototyping, and development
Tools
- GitHub Projects for project management, issue tracking, and roadmaps
- Figma for wireframing, UI design, prototyping, and feedback
- Notion for documentation and specifications
- React for frontend; Material UI as component library
- Slack for internal communication
Responsibilities
- Lead UI/UX end-to-end, from ideation to final product design
- Raise the bar for UI/UX at Embankment
- Build the right solutions by understanding customers, validating assumptions, and iterating designs based on feedback
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop detailed, high-quality user experiences
- Establish best practices as the first product designer; define design practices and set direction for scaling
- Design for AI and with AI tools; shape intuitive AI features and use tools like v0 and coding agents to iterate faster
