Production Operator offshore

The Production Operator offshore role based in Esbjerg, Denmark requires a skilled professional with a strong background in process operations, ideally within the oil and gas industry. Candidates should possess a relevant educational qualification such as a process technician diploma or a skilled craftsman certification, supported by at least five years of practical experience in process operations. Prior experience as a Production Operator is preferred, indicating familiarity with offshore facility management and operational protocols. The role demands proficiency in operating and maintaining production facilities, including performing first-degree maintenance and ensuring compliance with company rules and safety procedures. Key responsibilities include acting as Area Authority with responsibilities for permit to work processes, conducting hazard identification, toolbox talks, and compliance checks. The operator must carry out daily rounds to monitor facility integrity, log operational data, and oversee third-party safety adherence. Competence in preparing and executing isolations and breaking containment safely is essential, alongside performing gas, Naturally Occurring Radioactive Material (NORM), and other safety testing on equipment. The role also involves conducting random audits and coordinating daily production team activities. Strong analytical skills, a structured approach, and the ability to follow detailed instructions are critical for success. Effective communication skills in English are required, with Danish language skills considered an advantage. A clear focus on health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards is mandatory, reflecting the high safety demands of offshore operations. The position operates on a 2/2 offshore rotation with alternating day and night 12-hour shifts, requiring adaptability and commitment to continuous learning through participation in required courses during home periods.
