Role Summary

APL Swift Services Ltd, Malta, is seeking a Quality Control Chemistry Analyst to perform laboratory testing and support quality control operations in compliance with EU GMP standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform testing of finished goods according to specified procedures and EU GMP
  • Prepare, standardise, and label stock solutions and laboratory reagents
  • Monitor and analyse water supply as per company procedures
  • Ensure QC Department equipment and premises are functional, performing maintenance and calibration as instructed
  • Assist outside contractors with calibrations and maintain related records
  • Report LIRs and deviations promptly
  • Perform calculations related to analysis and produce relevant documentation, ensuring proper filing and retrieval
  • Assist superiors in problem-solving and quality improvement exercises
  • Perform laboratory equipment qualification and calibration as scheduled
  • Conduct method validation as required
  • Maintain records of stocks for reagents, equipment spares, and reference standards, reporting when re-ordering is due
  • Support Technical Services in laboratory investigations (OOS, OOT, OOE results, and deviations)
  • Investigate and perform hypothesis testing and analysis for quality and root cause investigations
  • Follow and document all activities as per SOPs, Test Methods, and Protocols
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the QC Manager or delegate
  • Execute product testing as per approved methods of analysis
  • Input lab data into LIMS

Requirements

  • English language skills
  • Diploma or Degree in Chemistry or similar (Level 5 or above)
