About the role

Role Summary

  • Join the Transitional Energies division at Semco Maritime as a Senior Process Engineer

  • Collaborate with clients, team members, and subcontractors to optimize systems
  • Based at Global HQ in Esbjerg; full-time position with up to 30 days of travel per year

Responsibilities

  • Act as discipline lead in tenders and projects, responsible for planning, execution, and documentation delivery
  • Oversee technical solutions through outsourcing of process design packages, including specification preparation and review of documentation
  • Design process systems for PtX projects and the energy industry, including H&M balance simulations using commercial software
  • Prepare technical specifications for procurement and manage P&I diagrams
  • Develop functional descriptions, control loop diagrams, and interlocking diagrams for programming
  • Perform risk assessments to ensure safety and process integrity
  • Lead technical discussions with clients, team members, and subcontractors
  • Coordinate with stakeholders such as engineering design, sales, project management, and sub-suppliers
  • Ensure compliance with technical, environmental, and safety requirements
  • Participate in developing process control strategies to optimize performance and efficiency
  • Support commissioning and start-up activities, including troubleshooting
  • Participate in HAZOP, SIL, and LOPA studies for process safety and risk mitigation

Requirements

  • Strong background in process system engineering with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proactive, solution-oriented approach with ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Structured and pragmatic mindset for efficient use of time and resources
  • Leadership competencies and excellent communication skills
  • Focus on continuous improvement of workflows and solutions
  • Engineering degree (M.Eng/MSc. or B.Eng/BSc.) in mechanical, chemical, energy engineering, or similar
  • Previous engineering experience, ideally within PtX (carbon capture and storage or green fuels) or the energy sector
  • Fluency in Danish and English
