Senior Solutions Engineer, SCADA & Protection, Product Line Management for Offshore Substations

Role Summary

• Join Semco Maritime as a Senior Solutions Engineer, SCADA & Protection in the Renewables division
• Play a key role in commercialising advanced electrical architectures for wind farm transmission systems
• Work with a highly specialised PLM team supporting clients from tender to execution stages
• Involved in projects worldwide, including Europe, Asia, and the USA

Responsibilities

• Act as Technical Authority for Semco Maritime’s SCADA & Protection solutions
• Develop, optimise, standardise, and maintain SCADA & Protection solutions in line with market and technology trends
• Lead proposal development and execution based on solution architecture and client requirements
• Coordinate and secure strategic supply chain agreements with Procurement, including annual cost-out activities
• Develop and maintain the product roadmap with input from supply chain, organisation, and market
• Handover as-sold solutions to the project execution team
• Collaborate closely with teams in sales, tender, project management, construction, and engineering

Requirements

• Experience in design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of communication systems, control and monitoring, SCADA, and instrumentation
• Knowledge of power, control, automation, and cabling concepts
• Experience with Auxiliary Control and Monitoring systems and HVAC control systems
• Skilled in interface management across systems
• Relevant technical education (bachelor’s or master’s in electrical or mechanical engineering or similar), preferably with SCADA & Protection experience
• Understanding of OT security and network designs
• Experience from the utility sector or offshore wind industries is an advantage
• “Design for X” development experience (e.g., Manufacturability, Operation, Service, Reliability, Availability, Test, Integrations)
• Great communication skills and fluency in English (verbal and written)
• Curious, outgoing, and positive mindset
