The student assistant positions at SDU Robotics require competencies in both robotic/mechanical and software domains. Candidates focusing on robotics should have skills in designing and manufacturing robot cell prototypes and programming robots using Python. For the software track, experience in web development is essential, including building web-based human-robot interfaces covering both frontend and backend aspects. Strong foundational programming knowledge, particularly in Python and web technologies, is important. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to work independently within an agile team environment, possess strong English communication skills, and exhibit a curious, responsible, and proactive learning attitude. While formal experience is not strictly required, prior exposure to technical fields such as software engineering or robotics, and familiarity with 3D design and manufacturing processes, are advantageous. The role demands flexibility, as it involves approximately 10 hours per week with adaptable scheduling to accommodate academic commitments. Overall, the position suits students enrolled at the University of Southern Denmark who have a strong interest in IT and robotics, are capable of collaborative problem-solving, and are eager to contribute to innovative project activities in lab automation.
