This Millwright position requires a certified professional with a Red Seal Certification or recognized Millwright Trade Certificate and 3 to 5 years of industrial or mining experience, preferably in gold or mineral processing environments. The role demands expertise in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heavy mechanical equipment such as conveyors, crushers, ball and SAG mills, pumps, and agitators. Candidates must possess strong mechanical aptitude, including knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and the ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals accurately. Proficiency in using hand and power tools safely and effectively is essential. Experience with preventative and predictive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical failures, and replacing components like bearings, shafts, seals, gearboxes, valves, and couplings is critical. Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is advantageous, as is welding and fabrication capability. The role requires physical fitness to handle demanding, fast-paced conditions, including exposure to noise, dust, and varying weather, with adherence to safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment. Candidates should demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with maintenance and operations teams during shutdowns or emergency repairs. Additional desirable qualifications include experience with gold leaching processes such as CIP/CIL circuits, thickener maintenance, and working knowledge of OEM equipment from manufacturers like Metso, FLSmidth, and Weir. A commitment to workplace safety, environmental stewardship, and strong communication skills to function as a team player are also important for success in this role.

Responsibilities
- Install, align, dismantle, and move industrial equipment (crushers, conveyors, screens, ball and SAG mills, pumps, agitators)
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on plant machinery
- Diagnose mechanical problems and repair or replace defective parts (bearings, shafts, seals, gearboxes, valves, couplings)
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams during shutdowns or emergency repairs
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational procedures
- Complete maintenance logs, work orders, and documentation accurately
- Participate in continuous improvement and reliability-centered maintenance initiatives
Requirements
- Red Seal Certification or recognized Millwright Trade Certificate
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in an industrial or mining environment (preferably gold or mineral processing)
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and mechanical drawings
- Familiarity with CMMS software is an asset
- Welding and fabrication skills are highly desirable
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Physically fit and able to work in a demanding, fast-paced environment
Work Conditions
- Exposure to loud noises, dust, and varying weather conditions
- Shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays may be required
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times on site
