Operators must maintain accurate logs of equipment operation, production levels, and any incidents, and collaborate closely with maintenance, electrical, and technical teams to report mechanical or operational issues promptly. The role demands excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to multitask and monitor several processes simultaneously, and strong attention to detail. Effective communication skills in English and/or Greenlandic and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision are important. The position involves physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy equipment, working long hours standing, and operating in extreme weather conditions and rugged terrain. Flexibility to work a rotational schedule of four weeks on and four weeks off in a remote location is required. Teamwork abilities and reliable reporting skills complete the profile of an ideal candidate. Preference is given to Greenlandic applicants familiar with the unique challenges of remote mining operations.

Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor processing plant equipment (crushers, conveyors, grinding mills, gold room, and other machinery)
- Maintain optimal equipment performance by adjusting controls and monitoring alarms
- Conduct routine checks and inspections of plant machinery
- Monitor and regulate material flow and processing rates for maximum output
- Report mechanical or operational issues to maintenance and technical teams
- Perform basic troubleshooting and minor equipment adjustments
- Assist with plant start-up and shutdown procedures
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including safe handling of chemicals and materials
- Keep accurate logs of equipment operation, production levels, and incidents
- Assist with routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment
- Collaborate with maintenance, electrical, and technical teams
