The role demands the ability to perform inspections, diagnose mechanical issues, and carry out corrective and preventative maintenance independently with minimal supervision. Experience working on large-scale industrial or mine construction projects and in remote, harsh environments with temperature fluctuations and confined spaces is critical. The candidate should be adept at working collaboratively with supervisors, engineers, and other trades within a multidisciplinary team. Strong decision-making skills in fast-paced, equipment-intensive settings are required. Safety awareness is paramount, with adherence to workplace safety policies, regulations, and compliance legislation, and having First Aid and fall protection training is considered an asset. The role involves extended work schedules, including weekends, and requires adaptability to outdoor and remote northern climate conditions. Overall, the ideal candidate is a lead-level Millwright with comprehensive industrial mechanical expertise, strong teamwork and communication skills, and the ability to maintain high safety and quality standards in challenging environments.

Role Summary
- Position: Millwright, Red Seal
- Location: Nanortalik, Southern Greenland (Nalunaq Mine Site)
- Work in the field supporting safety, quality, and environmental programs
Responsibilities
- Perform duties independently with minimal supervision
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and manuals
- Install, assemble, align, maintain, and repair industrial machinery and mechanical equipment
- Perform rigging, lifting, positioning, and securing of machinery and components
- Inspect equipment, diagnose mechanical issues, and perform corrective and preventative maintenance
- Adjust, align, and balance machinery components (pumps, conveyors, crushers, motors, gearboxes, bearings)
- Use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and alignment equipment
- Conduct inspections and testing to ensure equipment operates safely and within specifications
- Complete maintenance records, inspection reports, and required documentation
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, engineers, and other trades
- Adhere to all workplace safety policies, regulations, and compliance legislation
- Demonstrate a good work ethic, positive attitude, and ability to work in a team environment
Requirements
Required Education and Experience
- Red Seal Millwright (Industrial Mechanic) certification
- Familiarity with construction and mining environments
- 5+ years of experience installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial mechanical equipment
- Experience on large-scale industrial or mine construction projects
- Ability to work in a remote mine environment (temperature fluctuations, confined spaces, elevated work areas, outdoor settings)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with rigging, alignment, and precision measurement techniques
- Proven ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary, team-oriented environment
- Able to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment near equipment and personnel
