Responsibilities
- Teach intermediate and advanced-level Danish Language Acquisition in the IB Middle Years Programme
- Prepare Advanced students for the Danish FP9 exam
- Develop and collaborate on curriculum planning with the Danish team
- Deliver lessons aligned with MYP objectives and practices
- Differentiate instruction and assessments to meet diverse student needs
- Plan and deliver engaging, reflective lessons to motivate student learning
- Provide additional Danish language support as needed
- Participate in MYP curriculum planning and professional development
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for cohesive learning experiences
Requirements
- Fluency in Danish and English, with strong speaking and writing abilities in both
- Proven experience in Language Acquisition teaching
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies for a multicultural and multilingual environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to work collaboratively
- Highly organized, reliable, and detail-oriented
- Passion for teaching and fostering a positive learning environment
Nice to Have
- Experience with administration and organisation of the Danish FP9 exam
- Experience with the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme
- Proven experience as a Head of Department
