About the role

  • Part-time (70%), permanent position as IB MYP Danish Language Acquisition Teacher
  • Join the Middle School’s Language Acquisition team

Responsibilities

  • Teach intermediate and advanced-level Danish Language Acquisition in the IB Middle Years Programme
  • Prepare Advanced students for the Danish FP9 exam
  • Develop and collaborate on curriculum planning with the Danish team
  • Deliver lessons aligned with MYP objectives and practices
  • Differentiate instruction and assessments to meet diverse student needs
  • Plan and deliver engaging, reflective lessons to motivate student learning
  • Provide additional Danish language support as needed
  • Participate in MYP curriculum planning and professional development
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for cohesive learning experiences

Requirements

  • Fluency in Danish and English, with strong speaking and writing abilities in both
  • Proven experience in Language Acquisition teaching
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies for a multicultural and multilingual environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to work collaboratively
  • Highly organized, reliable, and detail-oriented
  • Passion for teaching and fostering a positive learning environment

Nice to Have

  • Experience with administration and organisation of the Danish FP9 exam
  • Experience with the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme
  • Proven experience as a Head of Department
