The Program Manager role requires a mid-level professional with a bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of experience in program or project management, preferably within automotive, aftermarket, or OEM product environments. Key competencies include leading complex, cross-functional, and global teams through all phases of program execution—from ideation to launch—while managing risks, timelines, budgets, and quality standards. The candidate must demonstrate strong planning, coordination, and execution skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent programs in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Effective communication skills are essential for collaborating across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, finance, suppliers, and customers, serving as the primary interface for stakeholder engagement. Financial acumen is important for cost tracking, resource forecasting, and supporting budgeting processes. Familiarity with engineering and manufacturing processes is necessary to navigate technical challenges and lead troubleshooting efforts during high-pressure situations. The role demands proficiency in MS Office suite, including Excel, Teams, SharePoint, and project management tools such as MS Project or equivalents. Knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and governance processes is required to ensure compliance and program quality. The position involves approximately 10–15% travel, with potential for more during onboarding. The ideal candidate is proactive in identifying and implementing process improvements, supports audits and productivity tracking, and thrives in a collaborative, international work environment. PMP certification is advantageous but not mandatory. Fluency in English is required to effectively engage with global teams and stakeholders.
