The candidate must demonstrate a data-driven approach with strong analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel, to track and improve critical quality metrics like cost of poor quality (COPQ), warranty claims, scrap rates, and supplier quality. Leadership capabilities are critical, with responsibilities to coach and develop quality specialists and auditors, build accountability, and foster cross-functional collaboration. Effective communication skills in English and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels are required. The role involves strategic oversight of quality processes, supplier quality assurance outside the USA, and partnership with OEM customers to meet stringent quality expectations. Occasional international travel is expected. About the role

Role Summary

  • Own and develop the Quality Management System (QMS) across Denmark and Thailand

Responsibilities

Quality Leadership & Strategy

  • Drive a culture of Quality Excellence aligned with RealTruck’s global Quality Strategy
  • Support development and deployment of quality processes, governance, and organization
  • Act as a subject matter expert on quality systems and continuous improvement
  • Ensure consistent application of one corporate quality manual across facilities

People & Organization

  • Lead, coach, and develop Quality Specialists and Auditors across international sites
  • Build accountability, structure, and high performance within the Quality function
  • Foster strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder alignment

Systems, Metrics & Improvement

  • Deploy, maintain, and continuously improve the RealTruck QMS
  • Track and improve key quality metrics (COPQ, warranty, scrap, supplier quality)
  • Lead corrective actions, investigations, and structured problem-solving at site level
  • Identify recurring issues and implement sustainable, system-based solutions

Customers, Products & Suppliers

  • Partner with OEM customers to meet and exceed quality expectations
  • Support Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) for new product introductions
  • Coordinate warranty policy and liability discussions with OE customers
  • Oversee quality assurance of global suppliers outside the USA

Requirements

Experience & Background

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in Quality Systems Engineering within manufacturing
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance / Control, including 3+ years in a leadership role
  • Strong automotive background with IATF 16949 experience (ISO 9001 / VDA highly preferred)
  • Proven track record of driving measurable quality improvements
  • Experience leading international or geographically dispersed teams

Expertise & Capabilities

  • Deep knowledge of quality systems, standards, and improvement tools
  • Strong APQP, problem-solving, and root cause analysis capabilities
  • Solid understanding of dimensional metrology and inspection systems
  • Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and Excel skills
  • Confident communicator, able to influence across functions and levels
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Occasional international travel required
